Machine Shop Quality Page Planning Kit

Turn a vague quality-page draft into a practical publishing plan. This free worksheet helps a machine shop collect approved claims, separate public information from request-only records and identify the people responsible for reviewing the page.

The resource is intended for owners, marketing staff and website editors working with a shop's quality and estimating teams. It supports content planning; it does not verify certification, approve a measurement method or establish that a shop meets a customer's requirements.

No signup is required. The ZIP contains a self-contained HTML worksheet and a short instruction file. Extract it, open the HTML in a current browser and complete it locally. There are no external scripts, uploads or submission forms in the worksheet.

Entries are not automatically stored after closing the page. Use Print / Save to PDF before closing to retain completed work. Keep sensitive records in your approved systems and use internal references or non-confidential summaries in the worksheet.

What the kit helps you organize

  • Buyer purpose and scope: which facility or activity the page covers and what the buyer needs to evaluate.
  • Claim register: four repeatable records for wording, evidence location, scope, reviewer and review trigger.
  • Sharing decisions: public summaries, request-only documents and information that should stay internal.
  • Page outline: opening scope, relevant credentials, inspection resources, documentation discussion and inquiry route.
  • Handoff and maintenance: inquiry ownership, approved exchange instructions, publication checks and revision records.

The worksheet deliberately asks for supporting references before final copy. It is easier to resolve unclear certification wording or document permissions before a badge or sample report reaches the public website.

Use it with your technical reviewer

Start with one existing page or a defined new page. Ask the quality reviewer to identify the sources behind the statements you want to publish. Record what the evidence supports, including any facility or activity limits. Keep unresolved statements in the working register with an owner assigned.

Next, classify the supporting material. A public summary, an approved document available on request and a confidential customer record need different handling. Do not paste sensitive records into this worksheet simply to make the plan feel complete.

Draft the page outline after those decisions are clear. Have the inquiry owner review the next-step instructions, then check the final page and linked files together. Record what was actually checked rather than treating a completed checklist as proof of buyer acceptance.

Pair the worksheet with the full guide

The machine shop quality page guide explains the claim register, certification wording, inspection descriptions, document requests and maintenance process. The capability-page guide helps connect that information to the services buyers are evaluating.

Need help reviewing the public page?

Use the quality page review inquiry to discuss the content and handoff. Share a public URL and a short non-confidential brief. Scope, access, timing and any fees should be clarified before work begins.
