What the planning kit includes

  • Scope and owners: identify the audience, approved work, inquiry action and responsible reviewers.
  • Five question records: capture the buyer role, decision, public answer, source reference and review owner.
  • Six page inventory records: name each page's purpose, next action, current issue and planned improvement.
  • Three claim records: connect public wording with a source, conditions, permission and review trigger.
  • One complete content brief: plan the reader promise, outline, links, visuals, CTA and acceptance checks.
  • Four roadmap records: assign dependencies, owners, status and completion checks.
  • Publishing and maintenance checks: record live verification, observed feedback and the next review.

Use it in a short working session

Choose an audience the business can serve and a question the team can answer accurately. Interview the people who handle that question. Record approved summaries and references to source material; keep underlying private records in the business's approved system.

Inventory the pages that already support the reader's task. A new article may need an updated capability page or clearer inquiry instructions before it becomes useful. Name those dependencies in the roadmap rather than treating them as work to resolve after publication.

Complete the brief with the responsible reviewers. Decide what the page helps the reader do, which facts are approved and what next action makes sense. Assign the publishing checks before setting a date. Save the completed worksheet as a PDF or print it for the team's discussion.

The complete machine shop content strategy playbook explains each decision and provides fifteen visual summaries. Use the guide alongside the worksheet when a team member needs more context.

Keep the plan grounded in approved information

The worksheet organizes a process; it does not establish manufacturing capabilities, approve customer disclosures or certify results. The responsible technical and account teams verify the information and publication permission. Record missing evidence as a task. Clearly label any fictional teaching examples rather than treating them as completed client work.

The kit also separates observed activity from attribution. A page visit, a download and a commercial outcome are different observations. Record what the available systems show and the limitations of that information before making a content decision.

Common questions

Does it need additional software?

No installation is needed. Extract the ZIP and open the HTML worksheet in a current browser. Its print button opens the browser's print or save-to-PDF function. The kit has no external scripts, tracking, uploads or submission forms.

Are entries saved automatically?

No. Entries are not persistently stored and are not sent to KriXis. Print or save the completed worksheet to PDF before closing. Keep a blank copy of the original HTML file for the next planning session.

Can we use it for several audiences?

Yes. Start a separate copy for each audience or connected content program. Check whether the buyer questions and approved information are meaningfully different before commissioning separate pages.

Does downloading it include a content review?

The resource is available directly. A review conversation is a separate request, with its scope and any fees discussed before further work begins.

Put the plan into action

Choose the first ready question, resolve the evidence and assign the publishing owner. Use the roadmap to include the related page updates, resource and live checks. The goal is a useful answer the team can maintain.
